After the product is sold and deployed with one or more customers, Revlogix leverages the Digital Product Passport to build a comprehensive, secure record of its entire lifecycle, structured around three core areas: proprietary build of material, proprietary in-field usage and ownership data, and an open, public log of all revisions from day zero. This ensures a dynamic and transparent profile of the asset, allowing stakeholders to optimize its use, extend its lifespan, and determine the best time for refurbishment, recirculation, or recycling.

When the product is returned—whether due to end-of-use, early failure, or other reasons—the REVX system uses its extensive data to determine the asset’s current value and quality. A serial-number-specific value and quality score is readily available, allowing for immediate assessment.
Several decision trees guide the next steps, such as determining whether the asset is a “no trouble found” (NTF) return, out-of-warranty equipment where repair costs outweigh benefits, or early-life failure with unknown failure modes. Each pathway is optimized to minimize unnecessary returns and maximize value recovery.
By applying true economic evaluations, Revlogix helps businesses quickly decide whether to refurbish, recycle, or decommission the asset. This process involves a detailed evaluation of the asset’s historical performance, SKU specifics, and overall condition to maximize its remaining value.
The reverse operations phase is guided by the data contained within the Passport. This data includes a complete history of the asset’s performance, usage patterns, and component wear, allowing technicians to identify the most cost-effective repair or refurbishment strategies. Additionally, the passport provides a framework for adhering to all relevant economic change orders (ECOs) and ensuring that the asset is restored or upgraded in a manner that maximizes its remaining value
Throughout the reverse operations process, the system continuously assesses the asset’s condition and adjusts the repair or refurbishment path accordingly. This dynamic approach ensures that costs are minimized while the asset’s utility and market value are maximized, allowing companies to extract the greatest possible return from each asset before it reaches the end of its life.

The detailed genealogy and lifecycle scoring captured in the passport allow for precise identification of parts that can be commoditized, ensuring high-quality and marketable components.
