Accessibility statement
Tallgrass is committed to making tallgrass.ai usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance and treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a one-time project.
What we've built in
- An on-page Accessibility button (bottom-left of every page) with text-size, high-contrast and reduce-motion controls that persist across visits.
- Skip-to-main-content link on every page.
- Keyboard-accessible navigation and dropdown menus.
- Focus is moved to the main region on route change so screen readers announce new pages.
- Descriptive alt text on functional images; decorative visuals are hidden from assistive tech.
- Form fields are labeled and expose inline errors via
aria-invalidandaria-describedby. - Motion respects
prefers-reduced-motion. - Dark navy + white text pairing meets WCAG AA contrast on primary surfaces.
Enlarging the site
The quickest way is the round Accessibility button in the bottom-left corner of every page. Choose A, A+, or A++ to scale text and spacing, or enable High contrast for stronger foreground/background separation.
You can also use built-in tools:
- Browser zoom:
Ctrl/Cmd++to zoom in,−to zoom out,0to reset. Pinch to zoom on trackpads and touch screens. - macOS: System Settings → Accessibility → Zoom (
⌥⌘=). - Windows: Magnifier (
Win++) or Display → Scale. - iOS / Android: Settings → Accessibility → Display & Text Size / Font size & Display size.
- Reader mode in Safari, Edge and Firefox works on our article pages for a stripped-down, resizable view.
Known limitations
- Third-party embeds (e.g. SendThisFile on /send-files) are outside our control and may not meet AA.
- Some marketing animations are visual-only; equivalent information is always available in text.
